You'll have a hand in designing our packaging, which appears on a dozen websites and on shelves of retailers nationwide, preparing mock-ups and presentations for our customers, and supporting our efforts to maintain consistent branding, while innovating as we lead the market in presentation and message.
Your work will allow our Packaging managers to focus on creative projects while you help make those concepts a reality.
More specifically, your focus is to get our packaging into production by creating additional iterations and defining the technical specifications to create them.
You will assist in all areas of marketing from mockups, to photo retouching, and even some packaging design.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop:
Expertise in Adobe In design would be a plus.
Proficiency in common business applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
1-3 years of experience in production art, proofing and communicating with vendors/mills.
Bachelor's degree in Art and Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience in photo processing with Photo shop is preferred.
A strong design aesthetic using fonts, colors, and patterns.
Curiosity and interest in current trends.
Experience with packaging design a plus.
Willingness to learn new platforms and Processes.
As our new production designer, your responsibilities may include:
Meticulously filling Tech Packs with production order requirements in our system.
Assisting marketing team by taking pre-existing packaging designs or comps, building out other versions based on the initial design, and outputting final production files.
Communicating with customers, mills, and internal customers.
Taking on complete creative of several customer's packaging designs.
Check-in and review product samples for accuracy and consistency.
Process and deliver product photos to specifications.
Assist in various duties for Bi-Annual trade show.
Proofing others' work.
Updating current processes and procedures.
Required Soft Skills:
Keen attention to detail and expert proofing abilities.
Clear and succinct communication.
Ability to juggle and prioritize many tasks simultaneously, and to work efficiently.
Use of established naming conventions, file archiving, and organization.
Follow processes precisely.
Positive attitude and team player.
